Professional Resume Builder – Free Tool

How to Use the Resume Builder?

Our free Resume Builder walks you through four easy steps to create a polished, professional resume — no design skills needed.

Step 1: Personal Information

Start by entering your basic details — first and last name, professional title, email, phone number, LinkedIn or website, and your location. Then write a short career objective or professional summary (2–4 sentences) highlighting your goals and strengths. First and last name are required; everything else is optional but recommended. Click Continue when you’re done.

Step 2: Education & Experience

Add your academic background — degree, institution, year, and grade/GPA — starting with your most recent qualification. Use + Add Education if you have more than one entry.

Next, list your work history the same way: job title, company, duration, and location, most recent first. Use + Add Experience to add more roles. Click Back if you need to revisit step 1, or Continue to move on.

Step 3: References & Extras

Add professional references (name, position, company, and contact info), or simply note “Available upon request” if you’d rather not list them. Use + Add Reference for additional contacts.

Then add any extra details that strengthen your resume — skills, certifications, languages, hobbies, or anything else worth highlighting. Use + Add Item to include more entries.

Step 4: Design & Export

Choose a layout that fits your style: Classic (traditional and clean), Modern Sidebar (contemporary with a side panel), or Creative Bold (eye-catching for creative fields).

Once you’ve picked a design, click Preview to see exactly how your resume will look. If it looks good, click Print / Save PDF to download or print it. Need to make changes first? Click Edit Information to go back and adjust any section.

Tips for a stronger resume:

  • Keep your summary concise and specific to the job you’re targeting.
  • List education and experience in reverse chronological order (newest first).
  • Match your design choice to your industry — Classic for corporate roles, Creative Bold for design/creative fields.
  • Always preview before exporting to catch any typos or formatting issues.
